Full Job Description

Moji Holding is the parent company of Dough Zone Dumpling House, an award-winning chain restaurant. We are now looking to fill the role of Payroll Specialist to join our team and support the rapidly growing need of the company. The candidate will work directly and closely with upper management, store managers, candidates, and to ensure success to meet department goals, as well as the broader company goals and strategic direction.


Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

  • Provides support and guidance to team members when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.

  • Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organizations human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.

  • Drive a variety of HR programs including: compensation, benefits administration, training & development, annual performance review program, reward systems, etc.

  • Proactively guide management and employee actions by contributing to researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines

  • Oversee daily operations of the HR functions and duties


Requirements, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to communicate in Chinese or Spanish is preferred

  • Experience working with HRIS systems; ADP workforce now is a plus

  • Ability to influence and coach team members

  • Adequate knowledge of current labor laws and regulations

  • Food/Restaurant Industry experience is a plus

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment

  • Acts with a sense of urgency in communicating with team members, management, and candidates

  • Applies logical/creative thinking in providing solutions to hiring managers and candidates

  • Self-motivated and hardworking


Education & Experience

  • Associate degree or above

  • 3+ years of broad-based HR Management experience preferable in a Food/ Restaurant industry experience is preferred

  • Ability to work with flexible schedules as needed

  • Strong work ethic, integrity, and proven organizational skills with attention to detail

Pay: $65,000.00 per year
