Full Job Description

Moji Holding is the parent company of Dough Zone Dumpling House, an award-winning chain restaurant. We are now looking to fill the role of HR Generalist to join our team and support the rapidly growing need of the company. The candidate will work directly and closely with upper management, store managers, candidates, and to ensure success to meet department goals, as well as the broader company goals and strategic direction.

 

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance

  • Maintain employee records according to policy and legal requirements

  • Assists employees and supervisors with the basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures.

  • Performs HRIS data entry and personnel file maintenance.

  • Takes the lead of HR policy development and maintenance

  • Assists with ADP procedures and payroll

  • Assists with the new hire onboarding process

  • Assists with benefits administration.

  • Assists the manager with HR projects.

  • Assist with day to day operations of the HR functions and duties

  • Prepare, update and manage job postings

  • Coordinate communication with candidates and guide through the entire recruitment process

 

Requirements, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to communicate in Spanish and/or Chinese is a plus.

  • Food/Restaurant Industry experience is preferred

  • Highly knowledgeable in supporting development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems

  • Proven experience as HR officer, administrator, or equivalent

  • Familiarity with payroll processing and ADP processes

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment

  • Ability to listen objectively to the needs of hiring managers and candidates

  • Acts with a sense of urgency in communicating with team members, management, and candidates

  • Applies logical/creative thinking in providing solutions to hiring managers and candidates

  • Self-motivated and hardworking

  • Able to help when needed

 

Education & Experience

  • Associate degree or above

  • 2+ years of HR experience in the restaurant or related industry required

  • Ability to work with flexible schedules as needed

  • Understanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures

  • Strong work ethic, integrity, and proven organizational skills with attention to detail

Job Types: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
