Full Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Restaurant Manager is responsible for front-end management to direct and oversee all activities of a restaurant in accordance with standardized policies in order to provide efficient, high-quality services and profitable operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Performing staff management responsibilities, including recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, and disciplining staffs; monitoring and evaluating staffs’ job performance; planning and proposing compensation actions; enforcing Company’s policies and procedures

  • Purchasing all food and supplies and controlling costs by minimizing waste

  • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy restaurant environment by following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures

  • Supervising staff in terms of food preparation, customer service, cleaning and other work performances

  • Promoting cooperative effort, a team spirit, and good morale among employees

  • Ensuring highest customer services standards and resolving complaints from customers in a polite manner

  • Communicating with the management team periodically and participating in bi-weekly training/conference with the management team about restaurant operations and standardized policies

  • Administering payroll, recording and reporting correct labor hours and others in the needed information for bi-weekly payroll processing

  • Providing regular, accurate, computerized reports of operations to management

  • Performing other work-related duties as assigned

​MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

  • High school diploma, GED certificate

  • Over 3 years of work experience in the food/hospitality industry required

  • Strong management skill and ability to lead and manage a group of staff members

  • Understand basic labor laws and familiar with general management regulations

  • Excellent communication skills in English, bilingual in Chinese and/or Mandarin is a plus

  • Demonstration of sufficient computer skills to prepare computer reports as required

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, and willing to work overtime as needed

  • Excellent customer service and conflict solving skills
